Rarely there comes a band (or rather an artist) that sticks with a person across the generations, who’s music transcends your stages of life, who’s music grows with you – not away from you, and who’s music…is…well…music. Dave Grohl is that musician in my life. A love affair that began in the later, darker, years of Nirvana and has grown through the music of the Foo Fighters..and even carried me through the Queens of the Stone Age. His talent never ceases to amaze me and the music always keeps me smiling and rocking.
I hope you’ll enjoy this bit of Foo to your day.
Foo Fighters – Walk.
A band that never sells out while making better music with every new album, the Foo don’t disappoint this time around either. From their new album, Wasting Light, the Foo Fighters bring the rock in Walk.
Foo Fighters – Rope.
Another newer and still great single, Rope keeps me drumming my fingers and singing along far after the song has ended.
Foo Fighters – Learn to Fly
One of my favorite things the Foo Fighters do with their music videos is to fashion them in a bit of a spoof format, the video of Learn to Fly is a perfect example of how this rock icon, the Foo Fighters continue to rock without taking themselves too seriously. An oldie, but a goodie – Learn to Fly – makes you smile and Dave Grohl all snazzy is just as delicious as Dave all grunged out.
You can also follow the Foo Fighters on Facebook, Twitter, and their band site.
