Tuesday Tunes – Songs that Stay

Ya know that song?

Yeah, that song.

The one with the catchy lyrics sung by your favorite band?

Yeah!

That one!

Well, I’ve got one of those too.

We all have that one song. Or maybe it’s more than one song…but you get what I’m saying.

Anyway…Weezer also “gets” what we mean.

This week’s Tuesday Tunes video comes straight from Weezer’s YouTube channel and is honestly…one of those songs for me.

And not even because any of the songs their singing about (with the exception of the all changing Nirvana) mean anything to me. They don’t.

But because it’s just a seriously catchy song that makes me feel like someone gets it.

Just a little.

Now all of this may seem a little rambling to you…and hey, maybe it is.

Stop reading. (I’m not making any sense anyway.)

and enjoy the song (no actual video..which is lame, but whatever just listen.)

Heart Songs. Weezer.

With all the music that's been made since my first days of AM Radio and 45 records until today, I have many "ONE" songs. Here's a few: Against The Wind- Bob Seger Turn The Page- Bob Seger Desperado- Eagles American Pie-Don McLean I've Always Been Crazy- Waylon Jennings Faithfully- Journey It just all depends on my mood or what I'm doing at the time. You don't have enough room here for me to list them all! LOL. Great question though.

I've got three for you dearest cousin, Maybe I'm a Leo- Deep Purple Improper Dancing- Electric Six Love in the Midnight- Styx Love em all, Deep Purple makes me feel funky, Improper Dancing because I always rememebr the improper dancing I did the first time I heard it live and 'Love in the Midnight' is one of my favorite Styx songs (certainly the best Tommy Shaw has ever done). Now go listen to them all and be better off for it.

Nice. Yeah, I can see all of those songs for you. I couldn't list all of my ONE songs...because then I wouldn't have anything to post on here.

I have a bunch of "one" songs. Let's see....."Hit Me Baby One more TIme" by Britney (Yes, I admit! I loved her music in high school) or "What's My Age Again" by Blink 182. Then there was Jesus Freak by dc talk and after blogher I will never forget Edge of Glory!

You crack me up! I love "What's my age again!!"

I guess I would have to say that "my song" would actually be Taking the Long Way by the Dixie Chicks. It really hits me on so many levels and when I want to get in the mood to put pen to paper and let my soul out, this is the song I start with. BTW... love Weezer but my fave by them is Buddy Holly - I love the spoof on Happy Days!

Oh that song gets me in the chest every time. Bah. That song is a well-known...dig deeper...weezer has a lot of good ones!

Never heard that song but it's nice. I have so many songs but one of my favorites which gets my whole family up is "Build Me Up- Buttercup"

Build Me Up - Buttercup is my sister's ringtone for me on her phone and when I call my niece knows it's me and calls it my song. So earlier this Spring my niece had a dance recital and danced to "my song" and my presence was requested at the recital of course!

LOVE that song!! It’s so up-beat and fun!
