Wordless Wednesday: Nifty Wine Storage for a Party

smart party wine storage

While spending some time helping a local winery with their holiday open houses I came across their rather ingenious way of storing and serving wine in their open house venue…I just had to share it with y’all today!

The Trick to Life is….

A couple of years ago I received a desk calendar made by paper coterie while attending a conference and was attracted to its uplifting quotes paired with sweet & simple illustrations. After the year was up, I could not bring myself to throw the calendar away, but rather I cut off the now irrelevant calendar part and stashed away the art for a later time.

I’ve recently come up with a way to use these to uplift friends and family throughout the year, but wanted to share this favorite quote with you first.  Tomorrow I’ll share how I plan to use these cute and positive pieces to spread joy, but until enjoy knowing the trick to life.

In the meantime, tell me how you’re living in the moment today.

Weddings Cause Families to Dress Up & Take Pictures – Wordless Wednesday

A couple of weeks ago our family had the opporutinity to spend some time with Jon’s family at a wedding in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and as you know, there’s nothing like a wedding to cause families to get gussied up and take pictures!

Wordless Wednesday – First Day of School 2012

wordless wednesday, back to school

Love these smiles!

This year is special, not that every other year isn’t, since KJ is starting Kindergarten this year and KG has moved on up to 4th.  I’m still struggling to figure out how this happened. I am so blessed to be their mother.

Wordless Wednesday – Adventuring with the Family

Last weekend Jon and I took the girls adventuring in Indiana and exploring in Squire Boone’s Cavern.  Here’s a look at some of the sights we were blessed with and tomorrow I’ll be writing about the experience.

Sunrise at the Yacht Club – Wordless Wednesday

Last week my family and I had the privilege to visit Disney World and participate in Disney’s Social Media Celebration 2012.  As part of the celebration, I had the opportunity to get a tour of the NEW Fantasyland (more on that later) and to do so I had to be up rather early Friday morning.  I’m so glad I did!  I had the chance to see the sun come up over the docs at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort and it was GORGEOUS.

Wordless Wednesday – Sights from My Walks #Walkabout

For the next month I’ll be sharing views and sights from my daily walks for the Walkabout Challenge, this week’s picture is a recent discovery despite it being located in the middle of the town I grew up in.

This is the original jail for our county.

#Walkabout Day One – #WordlessWednesday

Today LA, Baby A, KJ, KG & I extended our walk to 45 minutes despite my continued shortness of breath and I added back the “Foosball Kicks” with 5-pound weights.  Just after the walk today LA captured my walking outfit for this beautiful spring day. (I dressed too warmly.)

What are you doing to live healthier?

Wordless Wednesday – Cheering for My Girl

This weekend my KG competed in her very first cheerleading competition and she blew my mind!! I am so proud of the way she behaved, her performance during the competition, and the way the whole team worked together.

They even brought home the 2nd place trophy for their division!

*Congratulations girls!*

I am so thankful that the girls, my girl, have such amazingly supportive coaches who work so hard to give these girls their best!
