Well, girls I’m back with my third (let’s all oooo & ahhh…thank you, continue.) #15byTypeA post since signing on with the commitment several months ago. Since my last post my grandmother has passed away and Jon’s been in a car accident, but things are looking up. So let’s break it down:
Exercise
Softball has started back (kind of, our first game was rained out) and I could not be more thrilled. I was laid up with a nearly broken ankle last summer after a not-so-graceful experience on the Wii board, so I didn’t get to play and I’ve been in a frenzy for the season to start. We’ve also been spending a lot of time outside working in the yard (Jon’s Granny just gave us 28 shade loving plants that we’re planting tomorrow) and I’ve been feeling it all in my thighs at night. KG and I try to take time every night to play the Just Dance 2 game Ubisoft sent me (I’m hoping she gets the more appropriate Just Dance for Kids for her birthday next weekend) so I’ve been getting some much needed calorie burn there.
Caloric Intake
I wish I could say I’ve been watching what I eat…and I guess I can…I’ve been watching what I eat…all the way to my mouth. (I know, cliche.) I haven’t been doing well at all. In fact, beside me right now is some of Jon’s Aunt Michelle’s peanut butter fudge (with a water!) from last night. I’ve pretty much just been mindlessly eating…and I’ve been knowingly eating to deal with stress. Bad. I know. But there it is.
I’m trying to be mindful of the food going in, but that’s just it…I’ve been on auto-drive for so long I forget to remember to think about the food. I also am terrible at recording anything on myfitnesspal.com even though I know it’s awesome. So that’s my goal for the next 1 week and 4 days that I have before Type-A Parents Conference in Asheville, where I’ll be speaking with Sarah Pinnix on the subject of going from blogger to social media consultant.
Other Random Thoughts
Also at Type-A I’ll be competing on Sarah’s team for the closing party’s Just Dance-Off UbiSoft and Clever Girls Collective is sponsoring…so that’s another reason why KG & I have been practicing. She cuts me no slack. And we’ve got a strategy; I’ll be practicing each song over and over until I’m at least get fairly decent at them in hopes that I don’t completely humiliate myself.
So let’s get to the good stuff:
Weigh in+/- : -7 pounds (-11 total)
