Teenage Grunge Love on Tuesday Tunes

I know, I know. I missed last week. And trust me, I missed it!! I’ve had so much fun this month reliving my favorite tune from teenagehood!  I hope you have too.  This is the last installment of Nostalgia Month on Tuesday Tunes, in the last month I’ve featured Alkaline Trio & Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, as well as, Sublime and Nirvana.

First up this week is a long-time favorite of mine, Local H with Bound to the Floor.  Local H creates a near perfect blend of catchy lyrics, grungy guitar play, and angsty yells.  Perfect for my young adulthood.

This next band is local to our area and I had their posters up all over my walls as a teenager (my Aunt even got their autograph for me!), Days of the New was another grunge band that personified that time of life and the girl I was.

As you could probably tell, I am a child of the grunge era – and honestly I’d like to just stay there.  I keep trying to branch out…to find some new music that I dig…but I’ve come to the conclusion I am old and they just don’t make music I can appreciate any more.

We’ll go back to no theme next month, unless one of you guys comes up with a really great one, and I’ve got some fun new videos to share with you.

What where you listening to in college??

Be sure to stop by the rest of the Tuesday Tuners (and join in yourself!!)
