Tuesday Tunes – THIS is the place that we all call home…

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the country I live in…and the privileges living here affords me.

Freedom of Religion

Freedom of Speech

Freedom of Press

Right to Bear Arms

Right of Assembly

…and the list goes on and on.

We are a very blessed people.

All of us.

This.

This country, this Earth…

THIS is the place that we all call home.

Let us live here in peace.

Let us all prosper.

Let us all have freedom.

And let us never take our freedom for granted.

Thankfulness: Freedom

thankful thursdayThis week’s Thankful Thursday’s theme is Freedom.  How has Jesus freed you this week?

We were able to pay off all of our credit cards this week and it feels so good to be free from credit card debt.

I am also thankful that Jesus has freed me from worry.  I’m a worrier from way back…I have always read the many verses in the Bible prompting me to put all my worries on Him, but hadn’t ever done it.  Recently, I have learned to let go. Sorta.  I’m working on it.

Gracious Heavenly Father,

Lord Jesus, Thank You for teaching me and prompting me to let You take care of my life.  Take the reins.  I give You all of the praise and glory, and I give You all of my worries.

~Amen

“It is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.”
