Yesterday while spending entirely too much money at Walmart, I ran across this magnificent piece of organizational bliss on clearance.

Price: $2.44

It was love at first site. I mean I could virtually see my coupons organizing themselves. Ok, well maybe it wasn’t going to be that easy, but anything had to be better than what I was currently using. You know, the-stuff-everything-in-an-envelope-and-search-through-it-all-whenever-I-want-to-use-a-specific-coupon method.

Come on, don’t tell me you don’t use that method too?!

Well, No More!

Thanks to this handy organizer {and my ever-so-helpful-hubby) my coupons are looking drastically more organized.

The sleek gray binder has two sets of clear pockets on each clear plastic page.

A pocket for my full-sized coupon ads, which I have separated by date.

And a smaller, close-able pocket on the front of each side for my loose coupons.

This new system makes grabbing the coupons I need a fast and easy process {read: no more long searches through useless coupons}. Now I can hop on CouponMom, find the coupon matches I need, and then I only have to search through my binder by date; cutting out only what I need.

This post can be found on WFMW at We are THAT Family.

I’m lazy. There I said it. Now I feel better.

I’m also on a budget and the two do not go hand in hand (surprising I know.) You see, I need to cut coupons and shop sales at my local Kroger in order to feed our family of four on a budget of $75 every two weeks. But as I said earlier, I am lazy. I do not have the time, patience, or energy to sift through the ad and coupon match. I just don’t.

Luckily there is CouponMom.com. I love this imaginary Coupon Mom. Seriously. I wish she were my mom. Then I would get all the good cool foods for uber cheap and save time in the process.

But alas, she is not (at least I don’t think so). SO…in exchange I use her. Yup. I use Coupon Mom. Seriously. This website makes my Sunday (grocery day) so much easier. I hop online Sunday morning before church, log-in, check out this week’s specials, check the boxes for the deals I want to take advantage of, and print.

Out of my printer comes a list with all of the coupons for each eligible item already listed. If you keep your coupon inserts together, labeled on the front with the date they were issued, the job gets even easier. You see, she has it all laid out for you. What coupon, from which insert on what date. Then you just cut out the coupons you are going to use that day.

No more cutting out all the coupons I might use (but then don’t), scavenging through them to find the right ones, then being exhausted by all the work. No, no. All the hard stuff is already done for you.

Just choose, print, cut, and go. Simple right?

I thought so too!

What do you do to make grocery shopping easier? I’d really love to know!

For more ideas that work, be sure to head over to We are THAT Family.

Thanks to the wonderful people over at Psst… I have five two (2)coupons for $1.10 off when you buy any Pillsbury Refrgerated Pizza Crust (exp. 2/25/09) AND five (5) coupons for $1.00 off when you buy any Pillsbury Flaky Chocolate Twists (exp. 3/22/09). I have personally tried both of the products for Psst… and love them both.

The pizza crust bakes up nicely and crusty each time I have used them. We eat a lot of pizza in this house and for health and pocket reasons, I would rather bake my own. These make baking pizza much quicker than if I had to make homemade crust.

The Flaky Chocolate Twists are a chocolate lovers dream! I wouldn’t recommend these as a breakfast item, as they are much too sweet for me to serve to the girls, but they make a delicious desert.
The first five people to comment on this post will get one of each mailed out on Monday. Please be sure to included your email address in your comments so I can get your home address.
