I am sitting in the floor of the awesome Mommy Bloggers of the MommyBlogging session. It’s headed up with Megan Jordan, Kelby Carr, Renee Ross and Briar Sauro. We are learning that we don’t have to find a niche to be successful or confident.
You need tribe of friends that really meet you where you are…niches are not nearly as important as finding your tribe. You don’t have to find a niche to be confident and successful. Message boards tend to make it easier to connect and then branch out into blogging, whereas starting a blog straight from reading is much harder because you don’t already have that community that you do when you come from a forum/message board.
The key in a place like BlogHer is to lose yourself…to lose the fear and walk up to people and just say HI. Saying Hi here is like live commenting! Just be yourself and people are bound to love you!
Thank you to the panel members that took time out this morning to be with us. And Thanks again to Wellesse for sponsoring this wonderful trip!
This post was made possible by Wellesse who sponsored my hotel stay in Chicago at BlogHer 09.
