As you are award, I have been participating in community specialist training presented by WOMMA, Community Roundtable, and ComBlu. With well thought out sessions, expert presenters, and a wealth of knowledge available through the Facebook group I was able to expand the knowledge about community management in a safe and trusted environment.
As a copious note taker, I found myself racing to keep up with all of the valuable information being given and thankfully was able to supplement my notes with the power point presentations which were made available after the sessions.
Not to be given lightly, to receive the certificate I had to pass two separate tests based on the material presented within the sessions. The quizzes, while based on the information shared, were designed to make you think about how the information would work outside of a classroom or webinar setting. Meaning you couldn’t just flip through the PowerPoint presentations to find the answers, you had to actually attend the sessions and think about how the knowledge could also be used.
After 6 information packed sessions and two tests, I received my community manager specialist certificate yesterday and couldn’t wait to share it with you!
Not to worry though, this was not the last training module WOMMA will offer, take a look at the two upcoming modules for 2012 and an opportunity to learn in person.

I would really like to attend WOMM-U and if our finances were in a place to allow it I would jump on this opportunity in a second.
So aside from my regular college courses, I am always looking for ways to expand my knowledge base and help my clients.
