Welcome to High Impact Mom!
High Impact Mom is a blog written by a mom who’s just making it through each day by God’s grace. Join me as I raise 2 small people in rural Kentucky, learn with me about becoming a “greener” family, laugh and cry about life’s journey, and maybe find some good deals and people who are doing it right along the way. This blog is dedicated to following our crazy beautiful lives through word, photo, and song {ok, not song…much}.
I am a twenty-eight year old Work at Home Mom (WAHM) with two beautiful little girls (seven and three); I am married to my college sweetheart {who just happens to be the smartest man I know}. I’m a closet geek and a part time comedienne with a strong social media addiction & a heart for Christ. I shop at Walmart, I tan and I’m a Southern girl. I love sweet tea and dark chocolate…oh and quiet. OH…and I’ve just decided to start back to school myself to earn my marketing degree!
Jon & I live on a budget and are focused on becoming financially independent in the next five years, so this means taking some drastic measures. We are also a family on the journey of going green in our new house and we’re having a great time learning all about it. I’m always on the look out for a great deal and anything that will make keeping my house clean easier!
I am a Christian and find it’s important to be active in our church and community! The purpose of this blog is to help other parents find ways to positively impact their community! If not us, then who?
We have a responsibility to our world as parents! We ALL need to be “high-impact” in our local communities and beyond! For everyone who has asked themselves, “How can I have an impact?”, I hope this blog will give you some insight or a starting place. But not just that, High Impact Mom regularly features businesses, people, and communities who are making an impact.
I also drop in any bargains that I find, because really who couldn’t benefit by saving a little money? I work hard to bring factual information to all of my posts, whether I choose to blog on Green Living or our silly lives.
I do reviews and giveaways only if I feel they are a real benefit to you, my readers, and promise to be unbiased and honest in everything.
Please keep in mind this blog is the opinion of one woman and without many differing opinions, the world would be a very boring place.
